Terminal Engineer
Location: Vienna
Summary
ZTE Corporation is China’s largest listed telecommunications equipment provider specializing in customized network solutions for telecom carriers worldwide. ZTE develops and markets telecommunications equipment for fixed, mobile, data and optical networks, intelligent networks, next generation networks as well as mobile terminal/phones. ZTE wishes to expand outside China and the Austria Market is strategically important, not only for the market opportunity, but as a springboard to expansion within Europe.
The operation in Austria is currently growing rapidly. ZTE Austria identified the need for an engineer for terminal business.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in client communication meetings with the account manager to understand, analyze and evaluate client needs and project feasibility
- Prepare presentation for technical issues
- Clarify the technical terms to the operators
- Record and explain requirements between customers and China HQ
- Follow up the technical requirements
- Secure the offered solution and support the contractual acceptance of this solution
- Field test before the product launch on the market
- Customise technical documentation for the operator
- Level 2 technical support service to the customers independently or jointly with a technical support team
- Provide technical training for customers or service partners
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor degree or above in Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant major
- 1-2 years working experience in telecommunication fields, preferably with testing or presales background
- Strong technical understanding of terminal products (handsets, data cards etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both German and English. Good knowledge in Chinese is preferable, but not must
- Experience of working with different cultures and managerial methodologies
- Self motivated and highly flexible
