一 年一度伦敦设计节(London Design Festival)始于2003年，其宗旨就是做到全面地反映当代英国的设计，因此每年的伦敦设计节都会包含数个顶级设计展览和设计论坛。本届伦敦设计节 从9月15日一直持续到30日，以两周的时间来浓缩英国设计界的创意精华，从闻名遐迩的100%设计到前卫新潮的的Designersblock,伦敦设 计节是当之无愧的“设计节日”。

每年伦敦设计博物馆都会举办Design Mart展览，今年的Design Mart在伦敦设计节期间举行了盛大的开幕酒会。在酒会上不仅有肉宴大餐，还有Philip Worthington的新媒体装置作品“Monster Shadow”为众人助兴。值得一提的是，这个用动画和声音与观众的影子发生互动的作品将会在11月的香港微波艺术节上展出。同时博物馆里还有一个名为 “一级方程式”的展览，观众可以通过它来回顾F1方程式赛车从上世纪50年代一直到今天的发展历史。
