马自达转子引擎庆祝诞生40周年

1967年5月30日，马自达 (http://price.pcauto.com.cn/brand.jsp?bid=36)推出了世界上第一款双转子引擎车，马自达Cosmo Sport。40年以后的今天，马自达转子引擎已经走过了约莫半个世纪的风雨，总共生产了将近200万辆使用转子引擎的车辆。
　　“唯有马自达这样一家在汽车研发方面好像激光一样精准的厂商，用坚定不移的信念，才能造出如此优秀的转子引擎。”马自达北美分部的CEO吉姆•萨例文这样赞美道，“自从上个世纪五十年代到，转子引擎为马自达带来的是更加轻松的旅程，同时还在别人跌倒的地方获得了自己的成功。”

　　在这四十年之中，一些汽车制造商如通用 (http://price.pcauto.com.cn/brand.jsp?bid=48)汽车，戴姆勒•克莱斯勒 (http://price.pcauto.com.cn/brand.jsp?bid=39)的梅赛得斯奔驰以及劳斯莱斯 (http://price.pcauto.com.cn/brand.jsp?bid=47)，雪铁龙等等都曾经实验过转子引擎，但是仅仅只有马自达克服了实际设计之中的种种难点，将转子引擎带进了量产市场。

第一款在美国出现的转子引擎马自达1970年的马自达R100，接下来就是RX-2， RX-3， RX-4和RX-5。在上个世纪的70年代，马自达还将自己的转子引擎用到了皮卡上。

　　马自达在1979年首次推出了著名的跑车RX-7，这款车震惊了跑车市场，同时也创造了前所未有的跑车销售成绩。接下来的RX-7改进版本发售于1986和1993年。这也是首款出现在美国市场上的涡轮增压的转子引擎。再接下来的2003年之中，马自达推出了极具魅力的四门运动车RX-8，而转子引擎也在动力性能，排放方面有了显著的改善。
　　马自达的转子引擎在运动车方面获得了压倒性的成功，为装载此类引擎的车辆带来了超过一百次的专业赛车胜利，这也让日系车在赛车之中崭露头脚。由于马自达引擎过于强劲，以致于后来的比赛之中出台了规定，参加比赛的车辆不得使用马自达的转子引擎。

　　展望未来，马自达转子引擎还有很长的一段路要走，经过了将近50年的发展之后，马自达已经可以将氢元素作为自己的燃料了，相比传统的引擎更加环保。马自达同时研发的有氢元素为燃料的转子引擎以及混合动力引擎的车辆，现在在日本的路面上已经可以看见氢燃料的转子引擎RX8了。
